HOW TO GET MORE LIKES ON YOUR FACEBOOK PAGE

So you want to have more likes on your page? Great! It’s not as hard as you think!

Are you ready to grow the likes on your page?

STEP 1) DON’T BUY FAKE LIKES!

The reason you don’t want to do this is because your Facebook is focused on a certain topic, brand or person and by buying likes you will not be able to build a strong relationship or have deep engagement with the fake likes and it can potentially kill your Facebook page.

Moral of the story: STAY AWAY FROM FAKE LIKES

STEP 2) CREATE INSPIRING POSTS.

Everyone loves to share “feel good posts” or posts that have an inspiring story or message and it doesn’t have to only be motivational. The more people share the posts the higher the possibility of you gaining more Facebook page likes

Remember the two Es when creating your next posts. Education and Entertainment. A mix of both is even better.

By providing value in people’s lives through educational or entertaining posts that you share is a Win-Win situation, you give your viewers / readers value and they share it on and as a bonus will hopefully like your page as well because they really enjoyed what you posted.

STEP 3) CONSISTENCY IS KEY.

Posting often and being on highly visible is incredibly important, because every second millions of posts are being made so if you only post once a week, your posts will be lost in the ocean of posts around similar topics as the one you are posting.

TOP TIP 1) Post between 3 to 5 times a day

STEP 4) POST AT THE RIGHT TIME

The right time will depend on the types of content that you are creating and when you have the most engagement. Facebook offers incredible engagement information and you can easily start to calculate the best times to post your content.

STEP 5) THE HIGHER THE QUALITY THE BETTER.

Keep you posts at the highest quality possible by sourcing your images or videos from reliable sites.

Try and alternate between video, image and text posts. So that it keeps the feed of your fans fresh with something new.

Where to find amazing images?

Our top choices are

TOP TIP: Recycle your content. Extract the audio from your recent video and post it as a podcast. From the podcast listen for valuable quotes and post them to twitter. Use the same quotes add a powerful image behind it and post to Instagram.

STEP 6) VARY THE LENGTHS OF YOUR POSTS

Many people will tell you to keep it short but this is not always the case. Remember that how you package your content (The type, The Topic and the platform it’ll be posted to) will determine how long or short it should be.

But never comprise a great post by reducing its length, If your readers or page visitors think article / video is as good as you think it is you will be surprised at how much time they are willing to invest in finishing it.

The better your message is, the more likely people will like it and share it.

STEP 7) RELEVANCY, RELEVANCY, ( say it ) RELEVANCY.

What used to work in 2009 will not work in 2024, Facebook is constantly changing and so are the people who are using it. You need to keep up with the times and post content that is relevant to what’s actually going on in industry.

TOP TIP: If you don't know what's relevant, maybe change lanes and create a page on something that you are more knowledgeable about, or, do a google search to catch you up.

STEP 8) STAY TRUE

Humans have an incredible sense of smell when it comes to smelling the stench of falseness and total B.S. If you are the representative of a brand then you should be true to that brand and brand message. The people are following you because you represent it and the moment they discover you in person is nothing like you online not only will it damage your credibility but also the brand you represents credibility.

For example if you are posting about action sports and creating the idea cum illusion that you are heavily involved in the industry but it is later revealed that you have never played any sport let alone an action sport people will immediately discredit you no matter the validity of what you are posting,

TOP TIP: Be honest about who you are, where you come from and what you know. People will recognize and appreciate your integrity.

STEP 9) RUN FACEBOOK ADVERTS

Most will tell you that it is too expensive and doesn’t work but they are wrong. Yes it does cost more than posting for free but it is undeniably one of the best ways to target the people who you want to have like your page, who have similar interests in what you are posting about and also it gives you the opportunity to reach a lot of people who otherwise might not see your post.

If the advert is not working as well as you would like, then analyse what could be going wrong, What is the Call To Action that you are using, is the image high quality. Remember it is important to Analyse, Adapt, improve and try again.

10) CALL TO ACTIONS WITH A SENSE OF URGENCY

If you have ever heard of Gary Vaynerchuc, then you would of heard his comment of “give, give, give and ask.”

Before asking for people to likes, share or buy your product it is important to first provide them some value so that you are able to almost guilt them into following your call to action.

Once you have provided a value giving piece of content there is no shame in asking them to do something for you.

In saying that, it is important to remember that people who like and share this very post in the next 5 minuets are proven to be more intelligent, more sexy and 50% better looking.

TOP TIP: Before asking your audience to do something, provide them so much value that they are also guilt tripped into doing it for you.
